Flight Log - 2011-10-01 - Hans "Chris" Michielssen's Raisin' Maize (Scratch Design)

This model is based on the First Flight Hobbies Corn Roc model.

I found this styrofoam corn cob in a sale bin at Hobby Lobby for $1.00. I thought it'd be a great build for the blog. A hole was reamed for a BT-5, 13mm mount. A little nose weight, 8" parachute and unfinished balsa fins round out the build.

Flight Date: 2011-10-01
Rocket Name: Raisin' Maize (Scratch Design)
Flyer's Name: Hans "Chris" Michielssen
Motors: Estes A10-3t
Launch Site: Orlando R.O.C.K.
Actual Altitude: 300.00 Feet

At ejection, the styrofoam nose cap hit the body hard, it'll need touchup with a red felt tip pen. Small parachute takes too long to unfurl out of the internal BT-5 tube. Straight and stable.
