Flight Log - 2010-11-13 - K Sonesen's E-Pod (Tube Fin)

While this rocket can be constructed by bashing an Stormcaster kit, this one was constructed from parts on hand.  Larry Brand came up with this particular "kit bash" and deserves all the credit for the design.

It was necessary to add 20g of lead shot to the nosecone to achieve proper balance but that was anticipated.

This one is called "Little Pink" due to the brilliant color scheme. Hopefully these colors will stand out during the retrieval process.

Do not look away when launching this little demon on an E30-4!

Many comments about how cute my fluorescent pink/neon green E-Pod looked. Lightning bolt straight up launch disabused all of any cuteness. Minor melting of 12 nylon chute did not affect recovery.  BTW, this is NOT an Estes kit or design.  It's a copy of Larry Brand's E-Pod which he constructed from the parts contained in the Estes Stormcaster kit. Mine was built from spare parts I had on hand.
