Flight Log - 2015-09-27 - Rick Barnes's Spray Bomb

A flying can of spray paint!  Or at least that's the intent - this is still a work-in-progress.  It turns out that BT-80 tubing is almost exactly the same diameter as a can of spray paint, and the cap that Rustoleum uses fits well onto a BT-80 tube coupler.  What's more is that the 2X-line use a vinyl wrap around the can, which is easily peeled off and reattached to the tubing.  The rest is sort of self-explanatory.  The first flight was a bit squirrely, but the second was better after revision to CG location.  This may have to be restricted to calm winds.

Flight Date: 2015-09-27
Rocket Name: Spray Bomb
Flyer's Name: Rick Barnes
Motors: B6-4
Launch Site: Torrey Farm, Potter, NY
Actual Altitude: 100.00 Feet

Better 2nd flight, after shifting the CG forward. 4 second delay is too long, and wind was too gusty. Still deployed on the ground, but at least got some altitude first
