Flight Log - 2007-07-22 - Steve Lindeman's Orion Transport

"Colorful peel-and-stick decals that give the simple model an appearance of that of a futuristic business-jet for the rich-and-famous. " is what DynaStar has to say about this rocket.

Flight Date: 2007-07-22
Rocket Name: Orion Transport
Kit Name: DynaStar - Orion Transport {Kit} (05029)
Flyer's Name: Steve Lindeman
Motors: D12-5
Wind Speed: 7.00 mph
Launch Site: JMRC-M.I.S.

Nice clean fast lift off pad. Rocket flew straight and true to about 450 feet or so. Parachute was just shortly after apogee. Wind caused this rocket to drift quite a ways from launch pad but recovery was soft with no damage to rocket. Next time out will swap out plastic chute for nylon one because even with a large 4" spill hole the lightness of this rocket allows it to drift. Also had a little scorching of the plastic chute due to Estes D12-5 "Shotgun" ejection charge.
